Lutron announced that its Maestro Wireless ® family brings the ultimate in time savings and convenience to residential and commercial contractors. With the addition of a non-neutral, dual voltage switch, the Maestro Wireless family has become even more versatile. With this 120/277V 8A switch, it is now possible to add simple, convenient, wireless control of lights in a single-pole or multi-location application where no neutral wire is present. All Maestro Wireless switches, dimmers, and lamp dimmers work with Lutron’s Pico™ wireless control and Radio Powr Savr™ wireless occupancy/vacancy sensors. In 2010, Maestro Wireless will also work with Lutron’s new Radio Powr Savr wireless daylight sensor.

Fluke Corporation announced it has combined three key test tools in an ultra-handy kit for professionals in the electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) fields. The Electrical/HVAC Combo Kit includes the Fluke 62 Mini Infrared Thermometer, the Fluke T+PRO Voltage and Continuity Tester and the Fluke 1AC-II VoltAlert™ Non-Contact Voltage Detector, all in a soft carrying case. All three tools are compliant with the 2009 edition of NFPA 70E, and are designed to enable HVAC and electrical professionals to make measurements on live circuits more safely than traditional solenoid testers and contact thermometers. Together these three tools deliver musthave capabilities for professionals who install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and HVAC systems, according to Fluke.

ERICO® is offering two new heavyduty Fan/Fixture Mount kits, part of the CADDY® line of electrical fixings, fasteners and supports. The 512HDFM35 single-brace kit can support up to 35 lbs for fans and 50 lbs for fixtures. The 512HDFM70 double-brace kit can support up to 70 lbs for fans and 90 lbs for fixtures. Included in each mounting kit are two Fixture Mount Stabilizer Clips (FMSBC1) and the innovative CADDY® SPEED LINK universal support system, which serves as the means of support to meet the requirements of the NEC®. The 2-1/8” electrical box is pre-mounted in the center of the brace and features open knockouts for quick and easy installation. The installed box position is also fully adjustable over 16” to provide a customizable installation. Both fan/fixture mount kits are UL® Listed.

Leviton announced the release of two new series of power distribution units (PDUs). The new horizontal and vertical rack-mount models will bring increased functionality to Leviton’s PDU offering. The P1070 Series includes five new vertical surge-protected PDUs, all listed to the UL 1449 Edition 2.5 standard. With a clamping voltage rating of 400 volts and a peak surge current rating of 18kA, this product family features robust surge protection for connected equipment. In addition, the P1070 Series PDUs provide circuit breaker protection and have LED indicators for power, surge protection, and grounding/polarity. They are available for 120V input voltage in 15 and 20 amp configurations.

DEWALT announced the launche of a line of compact lithium ion power tools including a drill, impact driver, hammerdrill and right angle drill Two combo kits are also available. The small, lightweight design of these tools is ideal for cabinetmakers, HVAC professionals as well as electrical, mechanical and general contractors who perform overhead drilling and fastening applications. The compact lithium ion battery (DC9181) charges in 30 minutes and is compatible with the existing system of DEWALT 18V power tools, providing users with more options to pick the right battery for the job.

Prescolite announced that advancements in LED technology have allowed the lighting manufacturer to create and introduce the next evolution of 4” and 6” specification grade LED downlights. D4LED and D6LED downlights are now available in both high efficacy (D4LED3 and D6LED3) and high output (D4LED4 and D6LED4) luminaires. According to Prescolite, D4LED and D6LED downlights have always provided superior brightness control, energy savings and low maintenance costs, but now these new alternatives allow specifiers a choice in making individual lighting selections that best fit the application at hand.
