Lutron announced that its new, Radio Powr Savr™ wireless daylight sensor automatically detects the amount of available daylight in a space and adjusts electric lights to maintain the desired light level—an innovative product that helps save even more energy by utilizing available daylight in any space. Lutron said it is a pioneer of total light control, which started with the invention of the solid state dimmer in 1961 by Lutron’s founder. Lutron has since developed electronic shades, occupancy sensing, and daylight sensing to control all aspects of light and to create comfortable visual environments that save energy. With the introduction of this wireless daylight sensor, Lutron said all of its light control products can work together in wireless, scalable solutions, which are ideal for both retrofit and renovation projects, or new construction for any residential or commercial application.

Hubbell Wiring Systems announced the introduction of the new, innovative HMOSS ® OPTIMYZER occupancy sensor offering that provides enhanced coverage for maximum energy savings by strategically controlling high-bay fluorescent fixtures found in warehouses, distribution centers, gymnasiums and other large highbay lighting applications. Both 1 and 2-relay versions of the OPTIMYZER employ Hubbell’s patented zero arc point switching, which minimizes relay contact wear. The 2-relay version also features unique Smart Cycling™ that monitors and balances burn time for improved lamp life.
